Instructor Biography

Ryan Tibben, the Founder and CEO of Alert Plan Training Systems LLC, has dedicated over 19 years to the profession of arms and the study of small unit tactics.  Ryan spent 9 years in a Long Range Surveillance Unit assigned to a 6-man team.  He started as a Scout Observer and worked his way up to eventual selection as a Team Leader.   During this period, he successfully completed the U.S. Army Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leader Course (RSLC), a program focused on the mastery of reconnaissance fundamentals and the inherent dismounted/mounted small unit tactics.  Additionally, Ryan went on to attend and graduate the U.S. Army Ranger School.  Transitioning to light infantry, he used the skills he learned in training during 3 tours in Afghanistan with leadership experiences including Squad Leader of an infantry squad and Assistant Team Leader in a non-standard 4-man element.  Ryan went on to serve as a certified U.S. Army Ranger Instructor, teaching over 2,000 soldiers in the art of small unit tactics.
